We had the good fortune of connecting with Trustwho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trustwho, how do you think about risk?
With all the struggles surrounding the climate of today’s society, risks are a common factor amongst all in business and in life. If seen from the correct perception any all risks will drive you to perform at a certain level, most of the time higher than the rest. Without risks my drive would never be tested.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I been involved with HipHop so long the creation process never turns off, it doesn’t have a off button. Songs flow out at any given moment night or day. Concepts for videos, ideas for books, sweatshirts and album covers pour out like kool.aid from a pitcher. Always writing or painting or producing some new creative idea. Trustwho the Brand is more than just me. It engulfs the pain of the ills we call life. The only thing that seperates you, me, or anyone from success is quitting.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First time in Houston, we’ll first meet me at 8520 sweetwater lane suite F60 for a tour of set house/private event location. From there we would head over to new creative art museum called SIESMEQUE. For food i would suggest Soul Food Vegan. Then I’d take you by the BLACK STORE located on Scott St. and introduce you to some good people who are operating with the community on the mind. There you can purchase their “LUV JUICE”. Houston has a place to be on every night of the week, you can choose according to the mood.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are people who deal with you in a manner to see if you are built for what’s ahead, for me that person was Faultline Music Group CEO Ira Dotson. He was not a “yes man” at the slightest he always rapped the real to me, you know El Truth. Hip Hop was seperate from the business of the industry and he stressed that to me over the years, so it was important that I grew in the knowledge of not only my craft but the business as well.
