We had the good fortune of connecting with Zahir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zahir, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, I cant attribute my success to a singular important factor. For this instance however I will give my motivations that pushed me.
The arrival of my son, Kaliq, 4 years ago made life very real, it opened my eyes to how precious time is and lit a fire in my heart to leave something behind for him.
Since then I chose to optimize and leverage my time, so that I can spend as much time as possible doing the things I love with the people I love. Which in turn led me to chase my real estate passions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I think what sets me apart is what I am actually after when taking on clients, A moment -but not just any moment the one where my client sees the home they love or the project they’ve been eager to take on for the first time. That moment is priceless.
Getting to this point was nothing but trial and error through experimentation. You really have to do something that is overly looked and its the fact that you just have to start – execute the plan.
Being a realtor is anything but easy, however having support whether it be a mentor or having a partner/team that you can rely on through your trial and error phase.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends and I are big foodies and adventurers and Houston and the surrounding areas are nothing short of either!

Friday – Dinner Triple J’s
Saturday – Visit Sam Houston Nature Park
Sun(fun)day – BRUNCH in HTX – literally anywhere
Monday – Live jazz at the Bald Kitty
Tuesday – Visit Galveston Mardi Gras / Beach & Grill Day
Wednesday – Poetry Night with WAN Poetry
Thursday – All night Happy Hour at Private Client

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh man there are so many people and even books that I owe to say theirs names. We will start with my mother, she has always believed in my capabilities no matter what my vision at the time was. That in of itself is a beautiful thing. Secondly my son, he drove my desire to success home. Thirdly my partner in crime, Lisa Barnes she has motivated and helped me capture my ideas and bring them to life.
A book I’ve read that helped with my vision and achieving the things I know I could, would have to go to two:
The Power of Intention – Dr.Wayne W.Dryer (A true Gem)
Rich Dad, Poor Dad – Robert Kiyosaki
