We had the good fortune of connecting with Zeleste and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zeleste, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Being a stay at home mom and wanting to help my family with whatever sort of income I could I knew that I loved photography from the jump. Being behind or even in front of the camera I really feel I’ve always had an eye for capturing moments. Ever since I can remember having a smart phone my storage had always been filled to the maximum capacity because I’ve always been a person who loves to capture moments in photos. I’ve seen this spark within myself flourish even more this first year of my daughter being in my life constantly taking her monthly pictures and any photo of a cute outfit or a cute little face she makes I absolutely love that a picture really last forever. Turning this passion into a small business has always been a dream of mine and I’m grateful I was able to make it come to life!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Currently I’m still just a beginner status, but I’ve always enjoyed photography. Pictures not only capture beautiful memories but it forever holds that time and that special moment frozen so you’ll always be able to look back and remember. When we grow older that’s all that will really be left of us are pictures and memories and what better way to capture them than by having a wonderful photoshoot

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely want to take a good friend out for a drink. I live near Houston and there’s so much to do from bowling to skating even Top Golf, personally though I am a dancer. I’ve never been to Whisky River although I’ve been trying to go ever since I turned 21! There’s nothing like a Texan girl putting on her boots and getting ready to line dance!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shoutout my boyfriend he has always been with me every step of the way and has always encouraged me to do what I love. He is the father of my daughter and because of him he has worked so hard for our family and been capable of letting me raise our daughter in our own home. Thanks to him I owe him everything
