Other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?

Deciding to work for yourself is often cited as the best decision folks in our community have made. Hearing the same response over and over led us to ask them about the next best decision folks have made and we’ve shared their responses with you below.
The single most important decision that I made was to be authentically and unapologetically Joye. When I started this journey, I spent a lot of time listening to what others said about me. I was told I was a great motivator. I was told that excelled at leadership. I was told that I was a good business woman. While those things may have been how others experienced me, I was (at my core) a woman of faith who desired to walk in God’s purpose and encourage others to do the same. Read more>>
Other than deciding to work for myself, the single most important decision that contributed to my success was the decision to be singularly focused in executing the launch of my business. I requested familial support and patience for the first five years. I announced, “In order for me to be successful I really have to be able to focus exclusively on my business (for the first 5yrs) and I need you all to keep me lifted and look out for me.” I focused on work and they made certain to prioritize my well- being in various ways.
