Meet Latoya Mack | Broker Owner of Covenant Place Realty

We had the good fortune of connecting with Latoya Mack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Latoya, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor that has fueled my success in the real estate industry thus far is passion. I earned my real estate license in 2010 and started out part-time as a realtor working with first-time homebuyers, coaching them through the process, educating them along the way, and assisting them in overcoming obstacles such as credit challenges, lack of down payment, and other budget constraints. Many of whom became first generation homeowners. After just 6 short months, I quickly realized this was something I would do even if pay was not involved, which is something I could never imagine saying before that. This passion inspired me to leave my corporate accounting career to pursue what has become a greater sense of purpose to serve my clients and community in reaching their real estate goals and leaving a legacy of homeownership.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After many years as an agent, I obtained my broker’s license in 2020 and launched Covenant Place Realty, LLC. Despite the odds of being in the midst of a global pandemic, transaction and income goals increased with most sales being in the second half of the year. This was far from easy as I was also enrolled in an advanced degree program simultaneously pursuing and master’s in international real estate. With all that was going on in the world and carry the load of launching a brokerage and staying on top of studies, I’m proud that I didn’t buckle under pressure. It was faith and determination that got me through. What I learned is that I can do anything I set out to do with proper planning, execution and focus, in addition to having the ability to quickly adapt when necessary. It’s hard to believe this is year 3, but we are still just getting started and the best is yet to come. The focus of Covenant Place Realty, LLC is to build our agency and serve our clients with an experience that is professional, integral, and exceptional whether buying, selling, investing, or relocating.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been very fortunate to have support from family, friends, coaches, and loved ones who have all in some way contributed to my success. Throughout my journey the encouraging words and inspiration has motivated me to press forward even when the road got tough. If I had to narrow it down, I would have to say that it was first and foremost, the word of God that has been my roadmap and the building block for my faith which has been and will continue to be my key to success.
