We had the good fortune of connecting with Liliya Stepanova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liliya, how do you think about risk?
In my business, the role of risk turned out to be very significant. The area in which I work is unique, and there are no similar companies on the market. When launching my startup, I consciously accepted significant risks associated with possible failures.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At the moment, the “Art Studio by Lilia Stepanova” occupies a leading place among private art schools in Ukraine. Our school harmoniously combines hobby and art therapy, as well as vocational training for artists seeking to make painting their professional calling.

At the moment, we are proud of more than 15,000 happy students and clients, many of whom began their creative journey with us. Our Art Gallery “Lilia Stepanova” stands out separately, presenting my original works, including a series of paintings called “Strange Birds”.

One of our unique features is the ability to conduct simultaneous oil painting master classes for 50 people or more. Each participant creates his own unique painting during the master class.

Our professional journey continues, and we set ambitious goals for ourselves, moving towards them step by step.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a creative pastime, I am pleased to invite you to the “Art Studio by Lilia Stepanova”. In our space you can enjoy the atmosphere of creativity and create something unique.

When it comes to restaurants, there are so many great places in our city that it’s really hard to narrow down the choices. However, it might be worth paying attention to Neo Bistro Flip and the Georgian restaurant Purichveni. Both establishments offer unique culinary experiences.

Dnepr, my favorite city, is constantly growing and developing, becoming more and more attractive. There are many places and locations that deserve attention. For example, you can visit the largest promenade in Europe, where you can stroll and go to one of the cozy restaurants. As for nightclubs, I am not an expert in this area, since I rarely spend time in them.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I started my business in partnership with my husband. Together we developed the concept and marketing strategy, and his input played a key role in the development of our enterprise.
