We had the good fortune of connecting with Omar Auzenne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omar, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my photography business because capturing moments has always been a passion of mine. I love the feeling of freezing a moment in time and being able to relive it through a photograph. Photography allows me to express my creativity, challenge myself, and constantly learn new skills. I also love the idea of being able to provide people with memories that they can cherish for a lifetime. Whether it’s a family portrait or a wedding shot, I take pride in knowing that my work will be treasured by my clients for years to come. Starting my own photography business has allowed me to turn my passion into a career and share my love of photography with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a photographer, I believe that what sets me apart from others in my field is my ability to capture the essence of a moment and tell a story through my photographs. I don’t just take pictures, I create memories that my clients can cherish for a lifetime. I have a keen eye for detail and a uniques style combining natural and artificial light, which allows me to create images that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. I am also committed to providing exceptional service to my clients, from the initial consultation to the final delivery of their images. I take the time to get to know my clients and understand their vision, ensuring that their photographs are exactly what they envisioned. Additionally, I am always striving to learn and improve my craft, attending workshops, and keeping up with the latest trends and techniques in the industry. Ultimately, what sets me apart is my passion for photography and my dedication to providing my clients with the highest quality images and service possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

As someone who loves to explore my city, I have a few favorite spots that I always recommend to visitors and locals alike.

Monday- Everyone is at work so the the city is ripe for exploring. I would rent a scooter and explore downtown Houston stopping at Buffalo Bayou Park and the graffiti murals around the city. Can catch dinner at La Calle before we head home.

Tuesday- Time to sleep your body is sore from all the scooter riding. Once you get up and moving it’s time to get some rounds of Golf in at Top Golf for Half-Off Tuesdays. Once our session is up it is time to get dressed for the evening. First, let’s get in the mood by going to Postinos for ” Board & Bottle” night. Once get our fill of wine bruschetta we can head over to Urban Social to dance the night away to 90’s R&B.

Wednesday- Last night was a late night so today is a chill day. Lounge and explore the amenities of the hotel. Later that evening we can vibe out to some live music at the Livin Room Bar in 3rd Ward.

Thursday- We have worked our bodies over the last few days through physical activity now is the time to exercise our minds at Free Museum Day in Houston. You can visit all the Houston Museums at no charge.

Friday- Now time to travel back in time before club sections and go to Off the Record in downtown Houston. Thank me later.

Saturday- Today is festival day. In Houston, there is always a festival somewhere in the city on Saturdays big or small.

Sunday- Now this is where Houston shines! First heading to the Lord’s House at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. After church let’s head to the Sunshine House where everyone is greeted with “Hey Sunshine”. Finishing the night off at Chapman & Kirby where you will receive the ultimate ” Houston Brunch Experience”.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Starting a new business can be an incredibly daunting and challenging task, but I was fortunate enough to have a lot of support along the way. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to my mother who has helped me in this journey by being my ” Quality Control”. My family and friends have been my biggest cheerleaders, always encouraging me to pursue my passion and offering their support in any way they could. I am also grateful to my mentors and fellow photographers who have shared their knowledge, experience, and guidance with me. Without their help, I wouldn’t have been able to turn my dream of starting a photography business into a reality. Finally, I want to thank all of my clients who have trusted me to capture their special moments. Your support and feedback have been invaluable in helping me grow and improve my craft. Thank you all for believing in me and for being a part of this journey.
