We had the good fortune of connecting with Lady Kimberly Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lady Kimberly, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I grew up in Houston, Texas, where my parents raised me and my brothers within the church community. It influenced me greatly, as I gained a deeper understanding and connection about the Lord and made the choice to sing for Him.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I take great pride in my unwavering determination to pursue my passion for music since childhood. Through years of hard work and dedication, I’ve achieved my goal of becoming a nationally recognized gospel artist. The journey wasn’t easy, but it was essential. I turned to prayer, seeking God’s guidance and surrendering my vision to Him. I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, understanding that many successful creators faced struggles before reaching their goals. Beyond being an artist, I’ve established my own ministry and brand, “I am Enough,” aimed at giving back to communities and empowering individuals to recognize their worthiness in this present moment.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston offers an array of fantastic destinations to suit various preferences. Whether you’re craving seafood and heading to Twin Crab, seeking family entertainment at Main Event, indulging in hearty soul food at Mikki’s, or planning a leisurely brunch with friends at Phil and Derek’s, the city has something for everyone. With plenty of options for good, clean fun, Houston ensures an enjoyable experience for all.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to express gratitude to my parents, Johnny and Patricia Jackson, my daughter Aniya Jackson, my brothers Kedrain and Jermaine, my extended family including cousins, as well as my friends, church family at COTLG, and a special dedication to my late great supportive Uncle Bobby.
