We had the good fortune of connecting with Donn Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donn, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I believe risks are essential whenever it comes to starting anything new. I live by the quote “We miss 100% off the shots we don’t take.” It’s probably all worth the risk. In my business, I’ve taken several risks. I started my career in Atlanta, GA shortly after I graduated, and I’ve been on a roll ever since. After starting my business venture, I moved out of state and my business jumped through the roof. I started with 1 client a day, to quitting my job and being fully committed to the beauty industry.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a 3 time certified lash artist who specializes in wispy sets but my work is very versatile and caters to the needs of each client. I’m also a hair stylist who’s recently graduated from cosmetology school and on the road to become licensed soon. I’ve been involved in this industry for about 6 years consistently, and 10 years all together. I’m so proud of my business because I did it all on my own. I decided to want to do better for myself so I invested in a career instead of just settling for a job. It definitely wasn’t easy but well worth it. I over came all of my challenges by staying consistent, putting myself out there, and having faith. I’ve learned so much on this journey, from how to run a business to how much good marketing affect’s how people see your business. If I could reach more people In the world, and let them know more about my business, I would tell them how big I aspire for my brand to grow. I would also share my goals for giving back to the community, I believe it’s really Important to pour back into those who water you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly, I’m not much of an outside person. I like to stay home, watch movies and cook. I don’t spend much time touring the city to give any one recommendations.
