Meet Jessica Haas

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Haas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always been passionate about natural medicine, growing up in Mexico City, my family relied on traditional remedies and herbs. Later on, I deepened that passion by studying Ayurveda formally, completing my Master’s in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. After years of working with healing practices like massage therapy, Marma, Reiki, and herbal remedies, it felt like a natural next step to create a cozy wellness studio here in Katy, where I could offer personalized Ayurveda and Panchakarma (the five actions that help detox and rejuvenate the body) therapies. I wanted to create a space that felt warm, rooted, and supportive, where people could come not just for treatments, but for true wellness and connection.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Namaste Blends and my Ayurveda Wellness Katy were both born from a deep love for natural healing and a desire to help others reconnect with their own vitality. What sets my business apart is the way I integrate ancient Ayurvedic principles with personalized care as well as ancestral medicine from Mexico. Every tea blend I craft, every treatment I offer, every spiritual cleanse is done with intention, integrity, and respect for both tradition and the unique needs of each person who walks through my door.
I’m especially proud of the cozy backyard studio I’ve created, I call it my PK studio, that stands for “Panchakarma,” because it’s not just a business, it’s a physical and spiritual wellness sanctuary. It’s a space where people can slow down, be heard, and receive care that’s truly holistic. I’m also proud of the fact that everything I offer, from herbal teas, salt bath sachets, therapies, ancestral limpias to lifestyle guidance, is rooted in my formal education, lived experience, and deep respect for plant medicine and Ayurveda.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, especially building a niche business in a place where not everyone is familiar with Ayurveda. But I stayed consistent, kept refining my offerings, and leaned on my passion to push through the slow seasons. I’ve learned that building a heart-led business takes patience, resilience, and the courage to stay authentic.
What I want the world to know is that this isn’t just about products or services, it’s about restoring balance, honoring ancient wisdom, and creating a ripple effect of wellness. My brand, Namaste Blends, and my practice are both expressions of my belief that wellness is a right, not a luxury and that deep healing happens when we slow down, listen to the body, and return to nature.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, honestly, the first place I’d take them is my home, because it’s more than just a house, it’s a retreat. We’d start every morning with ginger tea or a custom herbal blend from my Namaste Blends collection, followed by a grounding yoga session, then followed by Abhyanga massage or Shirodhara treatment in my cozy backyard Ayurveda studio. It’s peaceful, healing, and fully equipped to offer a true mind-body-spirit reset.
The week would be all about nourishment and deep rest. We’d enjoy homemade Ayurvedic meals, do gentle yoga together, maybe meditate under the trees, and soak in herbal baths using my signature Dead Sea salt sachets. We’d spend the evenings catching up under the stars or doing self-care rituals like face massages and herbal steams.
My home and studio really offer everything tranquility, healing, connection, and care. It’s not just a place to visit, it’s a place to feel. For someone looking to unwind, reset, and experience something deeply nurturing, it’s the perfect destination.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, absolutely! there are so many people and experiences that shaped this journey. First, I have to thank my family. Growing up in Mexico City, I was surrounded by strong culture that leans on natural medicine and ancestral wisdom. That early influence stayed with me and guided me toward Ayurveda.
I also want to recognize my teachers and mentors at Maharishi International University, and The California College of Ayurveda where I earned my Master’s in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine and other certifications. Their guidance, depth of knowledge, and support were transformative.
A big shoutout as well to my clients and community, every person who trusted me with their wellness journey encouraged me to keep going, even during challenging times. And of course, my family (husband, son, father, my sister in law) and close friends who believed in my vision even when it was still just a seed. I couldn’t have built this wellness space without that foundation of love, faith, and encouragement.
