Meet Jose Luis Osorio | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jose Luis Osorio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jose Luis, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because I like to tell stories with my camera. I like to document and create things from everyday life and bring a different perspective so people can appreciate the visuals.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am really excited to continue to sharpen my skills and try new things creatively, like going to run club events and soon being a part of a project!
I wouldn’t say that I’ve completely made it, but I definitely feel like I am on the path to where I want to go! It definitely was not easy; going through a bunch of rejections, lots of creative blocks, and missing opportunities due to work. But in the end, everything was lining up.
As cliché as it sounds, if it was meant to be, it will happen. Even though I missed some opportunities, there were opportunities that presented themselves, and I took them whenever I could!
What I want the world to know about me is that I am still figuring everything out, but doing the things you enjoy and being true to yourself will bring opportunities.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
After being in Houston for over 2 years. These would be the list of things my friend should visit: The Post HTX for the cafeteria, vendors, and skyline view. Definitely visit the Buffalo Bayou for a good long walk and the beautiful skyline at sunset. As far as food, I would recommend Burger Joint, Kanau Sushi, Tacos La Carreta Asaderos, Toros HTX for morning breakfast and latte, and Brass Tacks. For some fun nights, definitely go to Barbarella for emo night, 80’s, and other fun night events they host!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout out to the run clubs that welcomed me and recognized me as a person and my work, and the friends that I made along the way that were there for me. Moments like that make life worth living and enjoying not only the highs but also the lows.
