We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Gallegos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
I truly do believe in the power attraction, so I usually start my days by writing in my journal, “What I focus on is what I manifest” I then make a list of my long term goals on the top and my short term goals on the bottom. I know from previous experiences that if you focus on negative thoughts, you will receive negative energy and events. “What I focus on is what I manifest” means what you focus on, expands. Whatever energy you focus on, is exactly what you will attract into your day. So instead I focus on manifesting positive energy, starting off with my health and emotions. Regardless of the list of manifestations I have in mind for the day I always include: I am protected. I am happy. I am at peace. I am healthy. I am positive. I help others. I include those six affirmations first and then I began to manifest everything else that matters to me like wealth and success. I learned about the law of attraction, manifesting, and meditation when I was in high school but I never really put it to practice. It was not until I found myself at a very unhappy time in my life when everything seemed to be going bad, personally and work wise. I reached out to a friend because I needed to talk to someone about my mental state, not knowing that from that day forward my mindset would forever change. Soon after, I found myself reading books about success and happiness. I was taking time of my day to meditate and manifest my affirmations about how I wanted my life to be like. I noticed a huge difference in my days to come. Having a positive mindset is very important to me when it comes to running my business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
D&F Innovative Solutions, LLC was designed to help growing solo practitioners when starting their law firms. By utilizing the skills and knowledge I have learned through the years I have been able to help them grow. My business also focuses on helping those who are in need of professional or legal services find the person who best fits their needs. If I am unable to assist someone, I make sure I guide them to another person who can, and is trustworthy. There is definitely a lot to be proud of with my business, however reading the google reviews left by clients always leaves a smile in my face. Is almost like a mini testimony on how I was able to make a difference in their lives. To get to where I am today, I faced a lot of obstacles created by my own thoughts. It was hard for me to give up a 9-5 job from one day to another and believe that I would succeed in my business. Over time I learned to market my services better, which eventually led me to being noticed by more people than what I expected. Running a business on your own teaches you the importance of networking. Not to mention money and time management. I learned to value my work more and to not let anyone take advantage of me when it came to payments. I would like anyone who comes across me or my business that I genuinely enjoy serving and helping others. Unlike others I don’t focus on money, I focus on making a difference in someone’s life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a huge food lover, and I try to eat at new places any chance I get. I enjoy museums, art, sports, and music. I have friends who live outside of Houston, if they were in town I would take them to have dinner at Pico’s Restaurant, Chama Gaucha, Perry’s Steakhouse, Steak 48 or Brenners Steakhouse. For dessert ChocolatZeina is a must! As a Dynamo member if there was a game scheduled that would be one of the 1st places I would take them to visit. Circade Houston, Top Golf, Seismique, or the Houston Museum District are always on my list for a fun night out with friends. On a more mature night out with friends you could find me at Heart Club, CLE or Bisuo. When I am in the mood for a more girly day, I like the Bloom & Bee restaurant at the Post Oak Hotel.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few very important people in my life who helped me change my mindset when it comes to success, Frank G, Alia M, Tatiauna H, Claudia, and Ali K. Through Frank I learned to believe in myself and to keep working and fighting for my dreams even when everything seemed to be going against me. Alia does know that through her I learned about the importance of positive and negative energy, and how important it was to protect me and my surroundings from people who had bad intentions. Ali was the first person who sat down with me and showed me that my thoughts attracted what I was going through. I learned how to meditate and manifest from him. Tatiauna and Claudia are two lawyers who I have had the privilege of helping. Both women are business owners in a field which is mostly run by male figures. Tatiauna without knowing has become a mentor and I learned a lot from her day by day. Claudia and I connect in a very special way because her mindset is a lot like mine when it comes to succeeding in life. She is a risk taker and does not say no to anything. Other than the mentioned individuals, “The power of positive thinking” book by Dr, Norman Vicent Peale is like my guide when it comes to positive thoughts. I am often inspired by the stories mentioned in the book.
