We had the good fortune of connecting with Priscilla King and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Priscilla, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I want to start my own business, because I want to set my own retirement age. I also want my family to have the freedom to control their own time as well.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business grow from an investment in a nonprofit that designed casual wear to sell as a way to raise money. I wanted to help people and give back to the community. Unfortunately, that organization was unable to raise the capital needed to remain open.

My brand is about helping people enhance their unique style. It’s wasn’t easy to keep my business open, because it was started in July 2019,the pandemic happened in 2020 I had to pivot to an online platform.

I have learned that it’s never to late to pursue your passion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the Black Market I’m the Buffalo Soldiers Museum for unique shopping experience.

Food at The Breakfast club Turkey leg hut and 4501 Almeda to check out the food trucks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family.. They all make it possible for me to run the business. My husband for financial support and encouragement. My son’s work events by setting up, selling, and breaking down.. Nieces and Nephews helping with social media . My sister is my personal assistant and voice of reason among other things
