We had the good fortune of connecting with Ray Briggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ray, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business could be described in so many ways .One that sticks out to begin with is Fear even though you may think your idea is a great one or concept is worthwhile you always have doubts. Then there is the pressure of others respecting your art or vision and actually liking them. But overall through trial and error ups and downs you push forward to doing what truly makes you happy. Making you passions into paychecks no matter the circumstances keep pushing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My Art is displayed in many forms. For example the biggest I would have to say is the clothing side/merchandise in forms of shirts, hoodies , sweatpants, sweatshirts, even shoes. what sets me apart from others is the story being each piece or just the creativity displayed for each style . What I’m most proud about with this brand and or excited about is the progression it will make on the world. And the staple we are about to leave for young artist with a vision. I got to where I am today professionally is by determination and eager to win quite frankly I’m still chasing it.Its a never ending cycle honestly. Was it easy not at all nothing in life comes easy if your entrepreneur or working 9-5 challenges will come but its how we deal with difference or I like to call lessons. Those lessons I’ve learned along the way is to not take losses as a done deal but a lesson to learn from and keep moving. Most people create the disappointment to themselves by opening the door or letting in wrong influences and or the wrong advice from those who are scared to try. What I want to world to know about my brand and story is that I was just a young African American kid with a vision of creating something bigger than me and used the resources and the things I like and love to display my creativity or just say things I might have been afraid to speak on or display due to others opinion. Life can be a handful sometimes but we have to find our why and common ground feel great in dark times this brand holds that energy and fun to make somebody day

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
here in houston the city is so diverse and the places and spaces are unlimited but if I had to choose a few places to bring my friends In the city for a week long trip depending on season if its summer you can’t go wrong with seaside , and or kamp for day time or night time club/lounge feel with great views and good music filled with fun and great drinks an don’t get me started on the food. Another on the list and we talking food vibes and just a great time has to be the best out of 3rd ward TX the Turkey Leg Hut. And if we just wanted to change the environment for a tab bit we would head up the street to Axelrad for some great choices of beer hammocks and live music great hangout on any day of the week. Cant forget Sundays in the city from taste bar for brunch to Uptown hookah or parma to take it up a. notch lol
