We had the good fortune of connecting with Abram Fletcher Fletcher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abram Fletcher, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The most important decision I made was buying assets. Assets bring the worth to your business where you can consistently level your resources for success. The more resources the stronger your foundation becomes. Buying my equipment gave me the tools to do my job efficiently and quickly. Not only assets add to your business, but also you sell your assets for a different start. It’s also a good resume for your banks.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I consider myself an entrepreneur in the music industry. I write music, sing music, record music, mix music, and now even picked up a camera filming music videos. The road is never easy, but where is the passion with no thrill or risk involved. To overcome my challenges weren’t easy because it’s all in the mental. You must conquer yourself because sometimes you can be your worst critic. I had to just keep moving forward and know that we all mistakes. My brand shows a logo of my hand. On the hand, it showed scars on my hand representing no matter what I faced in life I am still me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There isn’t much to do out in the country so usually I take my outings to New Orleans. I think a good place should be recreational place where it has amenities as well as food there such as a Dave and Busters or Shamrock. I prefer Shamrock overall though. The amenities they have are bowling alley, air hockey, pool tables, darts, a bar, and a dance floor where you can let loose. Once you have all your fun, you can sit down and dine in.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my parents for being in my life. They helped guide me through difficult decisions I had to make to get where I am today. I want to thank my sister for the motivation and always cheering me on. I want to give a special shout out to Track Burna for showing me mixing techniques and giving me expertise on how to achieve certain mixes. Burna has a good heart and gave me a chance when no one else did coming up in the industry. Burna is definitely one of my mentors when it comes to producing and mixing. I want to have a special thanks to my friend J Lew for always rapping every word of my songs that I released and some unreleased. He will always be remembered as he was definitely one of my biggest supporters. He reminds me that life is too short, and I must do what I want now in life. When it comes to musicians, my biggest influence is Yeat. He helped me out of the dark places to recognize who I am, and do what’s best for you.
