We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrià Voltà and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrià, what do you attribute your success to?
I think success is something very personal and changing, different in each person. Right now is getting to consolidate my own style clearly and that it can be of some use to the world, serving the purpose of illustrating an article or whatever.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m in illustration. I work creating conceptual images that mainly accompany different types of press articles. I usually have to learn about each topic to create a message that can work well and reflect the essence of the article.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in a coastal town near Barcelona. We could probably visit a nearby lake and have lunch in a homemade restaurant. In the afternoon a walk on the beach and a drink on a terrace could be a good plan.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Some of the colleagues with whom I studied illustration immediately started their professional careers because of their curiosity to learn more about the profession. I have known their path closely and also because they shared everything they learnt with everyone. They have always been a motivational reference.
