We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Hicks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was that I would finally be able to combine my passion with my expertise. I am very passionate about making others feel and look amazing plus my entire career background is in the medical field. By opening my own non-invasive body contouring studio, I was able to combine the two plus have the freedom that comes along with owning a business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The most important thing that sets my business apart from other non-invasive body contouring businesses is my passionate customer service skills and my in-depth knowledge of the business. I have been in the medical field for the past decade and I absolutely love educating my clients about their bodies. Hard work and dedication has gotten me where I am today. There have been times that I felt as though my ideas were not coming to life, but I would never let myself give up because I know that I am destined for greatness! I have learned that you must have a solid team in order to be successful. I want the world to know that no matter what comes your way in life that you can be successful! I am a single mother of three children under the age of 8 and a full time employee. If I can build and maintain a business then so can you! Just do not give up!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The following would be our itinerary:

Monday-
Brunch at Bloom & Bee
Shopping at one of our Outlets
Lunch at Cyclone Anaya’s (Woodlands)
Dinner at The Rouxpour (Memorial City)

Tuesday-
Spend the day in Galveston and shop at the local stores.

Wednesday-
Check out The Houston Selfie Museum
Dinner at Eddie V’s.

Thursday-
NBA or NFL game

Friday-
Find a couple of small businesses to shop with.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give God and my Ancestors credit for all of my success and I dedicate this shoutout to Elijah, Kennedy, and Mia. The three of you are and will always be Mommy’s motivation!
