We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Hudson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
There wasn’t really a thought process behind starting my own business. I just wanted a way to share my light and use my gift to bless others. Makeup has been one of the ways for me to do both.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Something that sets me apart from others…..My spirit! Every person that knows me has said that I have such a warm spirit. I’m Bubbly Bri! I’m not perfect by any means but I do pride myself on being loving and gentle to everyone. I’m most proud of taking a leap of faith to start doing makeup on others. The thing is, you just have to go and do. I’m most proud of the fact that I just went and in obedience to God there has been so many blessings beyond what I could ever imagine. I’ve learned a different level of hard work for sure haha but no seriously, being an entrepreneur is hard! It isn’t all peaches and cream every single day but what is?! The grind never stops but I’ve learned that you’re in control over it. It is okay to say no, it is okay to ask for help….it is okay! I think sometimes we as entrepreneur’s can sometimes over work ourselves… thinking that if we just push a little harder things will move a little quicker or we will be more successful if we just do more than the next person. That isn’t the truth at all. Finding time to rest, moments to spend in solitude and time with God and my family always does the trick for me when I’ve pushed my self a little further than I should’ve. You path and journey is yours! its okay to take your time.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man there’s so many but as far as food my favorite three spots to go would have to be The Rustic for brunch and Union Kitchen and the Cheesecake factory. I love food!!! Maybe hit up some museums…I’m so much of a home body the only way to get out for me would be a museum and good food.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout to V Squad Music, Thank you for the constant love and support.
