We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Nimmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caleb, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Taking a dive into making reading and learning a part of my day to day lifestyle. Reading business books and always having time in my day to learn something new about my craft. These two things can take you a long way after a year.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It has been quite an adventure to bring me where I’m at today. I started doing videography through non profit work with orphanages in third world countries- my purpose was to capture the stories of kids and their struggles and showcasing what some organizations were doing to help the children.
Videography is storytelling and storytelling is an art as old as time that’s imbedded into the human spirit. It’s what connects us with others. Through my work in 12 different countries across 5 continents I have found my passion and honed in on the technical side of my craft.
I firmly believe that we all need to have something we give back to the world, and to keep things pure I’ve never gotten paid for any of my orphanage work. However, I do need to make a living somehow and that’s when I started getting into the wedding industry as a way to make a living and be able to fund more trips overseas.
This year we are projecting to do over 100 weddings, & starting a luxury wedding branch to calebnimmonsstudio which I could not be more excited about..
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe big thankyou’s to a lot of amazing humans out there. I truly have the best community that supports me, from my family, friends, couples who have supported me, & other wedding vendors.
