We had the good fortune of connecting with Cynthia Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cynthia, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
When a venture no longer provides satisfactory results there comes a time when a shift must take place. I don’t view it as giving up, I choose to label that change as pivoting. When you are passionate about a certain cause or realize the path, you’ve chosen is a calling, there’s a yearning to continue. Various obstacles and challenges are destined to take place, so welcome those learning experiences. Yes, it’s easier said than done, but setbacks and pivots bring wisdom and help us prevent future mistakes. When you no longer have a passion to remain in business it’s okay to choose another path. As you evolve, your mindset shifts and you need to follow your passion to make a different impact.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sight C Collective LLC is my new business established in 2026. I’ve expanded my brand by not only offering travel concierge services but including exclusive customized options. I am an independent travel advisor. However, under my LLC I have chosen to enhance my services by adding curated retreat hosting, destination wedding coordination, Business retreat strategy sessions and additional add-on services. I’ve learned since the opening of my travel business in 2023, time literally equals money in business. In some instances, I’ve experienced free consultations are no longer viable in my business. Providing superb, personalized services requires a level of intent and keen insight. I’ve had to learn to pivot during times of uncertainty and disappointment. Increasing my network has allowed me to engage with more like-minded individuals who share their knowledge and experiences and pushes me outside of my comfort zone. I’m able to design experiences by upgrading my services and protecting my value.
