Meet Dan Nwosuh: Venture Capitalist & Software Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dan Nwosuh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor of Ghosted Ventures is the relationships with people. Every business or person we have done business with, we treat them like family. We handle Ghosted Ventures more like a brand than a venture capital firm. We want the people that we interact with to feel like they are a part of the family culture we have here and not just business partners. But, the underlying reason for all of it, is the way we treat people. We have seen so many people at levels higher than us, as far as venture capital success, act as if they are better than others because they have reached a higher level of “success”. But, we want to maintain the culture of treating people like family whether we are at 1 million or 100 million
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ghosted Ventures was really an idea that turned into reality. We loved the idea of having an impact in the journey of companies, whether it be successes or failures (because every business doesn’t succeed obviously). And, my business partner and I love investing, so venture capital was something we always talked about. The thing we want the world to know about Ghosted Ventures is that we aren’t your typical venture capital firm. We do things like give away merchandise, electronics, etc. We also have a trading group called ‘Ghosted Trading’ which we call the “fun side” of our business, because everything can’t be business all the time. That’s how people get worn out. We’ve had our trading group for a while now and we decided to open it up to the public because a lot of people have asked lately.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So, if had some friends coming over I would take them down to Sugar Land Town Centre, get some shopping done and grab a bite to eat at Jupiters. We’d definitely have to go to the Galleria just for the scenery and vibes there and obviously get some shopping done there too. If you haven’t noticed, shopping is a huge hobby of mine. We’d go spend a day or 2 at Galveston beach by the dirty water just for some relaxation and grab some seafood out there too. In Houston, one of the main things to do is eat, so we would definitely be trying a bunch of food places. A few of my favorites are: Houston’s, Jonathan’s, and Chuy’s.Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate all of Ghosted Ventures success thus far to God first and foremost, because without Him we wouldn’t be here and He has done so much for me that if I try and spell out everything I would be doing God a disservice. He’s been amazing. Secondly, I have to thank my family for their continued support. And last but not least, I have to thank my business partner and brother, Mike. He’s super talented and really a best friend. We’ve been through a lot throughout this journey and this is just the beginning.
