We had the good fortune of connecting with Danny Doan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We wanted to create something that was fun and exciting for our family. We love the idea that this is great for all ages!

What should our readers know about your business?
We are the first and largest claw centered arcade in the DFW metroplex and am making our way all over the world. At our locations, not only do you find a thrill in playing and winning plushies; You can also trade up to bigger and better prizes with those wins! There are many challenges that comes with starting and growing a business. Challenges like finding the right staff who has the same goals and intentions as us, hoping the community enjoys the entertainment we want to bring in, and creating something that we can be proud of were always in the back of our minds as we went through the rough drafts of ClawZania. We are so proud to be able to bring wholesome entertainment to our community that is unique and affordable!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston has so many great spots, I really do not know where to begin! Breakfast would be Honey hole or Nancy’s hustle for a hearty meal. If you want to shop go to the Galleria and Rice Village is a must! Unique experiences would be to jump over to a Post for an eclectic spot with trendy foods, cultures, and weekend events. If you go into China Town- you can spend a whole weekend immersed in asian culture and delicious food. Also gotta stop by Buccees gas station if they’re not from around here =)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, our greatest gratitude goes out to the community. Without you guys, we wouldn’t be able to have such a fun place to work. We also would like to thank our family and friends who helped us as we went through the trials and tribulations and kept us going!
