Hi Debbie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The heart of my business is treating every trip as if it were my own. When a client entrusts me with their vacation, I approach it with the same care and excitement as I would for my family. I probably get just as excited as my clients do…when they reach out, during the planning process, and especially when they’re traveling. My genuine excitement and dedication to detail are what set me apart and have built the trust that my brand is known for.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, Page Prestige Travel, was born out of my love for both travel and helping people. What sets me apart from others is the way I treat every trip like it’s my own family’s. I don’t just put together itineraries. I listen to what my clients want most, learn what matters to them, and then create trips that reflect their version of a dream vacation. I genuinely get excited for every trip I plan, and my clients can feel that energy and care.

I am most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. When they share their experiences with friends and family — that kind of trust and word-of-mouth is the greatest compliment I could receive.

Getting here hasn’t been easy. When I first started, leaving a steady salary for the uncertainty of building my own business was scary. I faced challenges like proving the value of a travel advisor in a world full of online deals, competing voices, and even AI. What kept me going was my belief that personal care and human connection are irreplaceable. Over time, I learned to market myself, build confidence, and trust that consistency pays off.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are to stay true to my values, celebrate the small wins, and keep showing up even when things feel hard. Perseverance and heart really do matter.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I truly care. I’m not just here to book trips. I’m here to make sure people have meaningful experiences, stress-free planning, and memories that will last a lifetime. My story is one of taking a leap of faith, leaning on the support of my family, and building a business that combines my passion with purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Houston for a week, I’d want them to experience everything that makes this city so unique — the food, the culture, and the quirky surprises around every corner. We would explore quirky landmarks like the Beer Can House and spend time in Montrose discovering eclectic shops, cozy cafes, and vibrant street art. Oh, and we couldn’t miss Meow Wolf – what a fun gem in our city! We’d also have to head to the coast to enjoy the ocean air and fresh seafood. Of course, her visit wouldn’t be complete without indulging in Houston’s incredible food scene. Can’t miss indulgences would include Viet Cajun crawfish (if in season), elevated Mexican cuisine (like Xalisko or Cuchara), and world-famous barbecue with stops at The Pit Room and Tejas Chocolate. And no visit would be complete without queso and margaritas at Ninfa’s on Navigation. Ok, now I need to make this week happen….calling me bestie now! Haha

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Michael. He’s the one who encouraged me to take the leap of faith and turn my love for travel planning into a profession. Starting a business hasn’t been without sacrifices (especially financially), and in the beginning, I put a lot of pressure on myself for not matching the steady paycheck I had in my previous career. But Michael never wavered. He has believed in me every step of the way, reminded me of my worth, and lifted me up when I doubted myself. His encouragement and unwavering support are a huge part of why I’m able to live out this dream today, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
