We had the good fortune of connecting with Elena Loviea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elena, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk may seem dangerous in a sense, but may be the most stable opportunity in your life. You never know what could happen if you didn’t take that step forward. That is why making mistakes and failing many times is what made my career to what it is today. Never put a time limit to your success and embrace your failures. When you make the choice to take a risk, that only means your passion is a priority. You are on the right track ! Remember that taking a risk helped me see the bigger picture of what I can do. Don’t be scared of taking a risk, be proud you have guts to do what others cannot.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m also known as Squito, and this is where my artwork began with skateboards ! What I’m most excited about is implementing my physical work into the digital realm. I am very passionate about new technology and started up a project towards the Metaverse ! Of course it was not easy, and facing challenges is apart of life’s journey. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is that your mindset can be what determines your story. Negative energy will only find the problems within your solution.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friends and family were visiting Houston, there is only one spot I would recommend everyone to visit. My special spot is called Kura, a revolving sushi bar in downtown Houston ! A big inspiration to my work is Japanese culture and this small spot in Houston is my happy place.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to everyone that supported me from the beginning and the mentors that showed me a direction.
