Hi Ester, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factors behind the success of Ester Cakes : – Dedication & hard work – Keeping ourself active in the cake decorating community by joining and creating cake collaborations, using our cake combs, with other cake artists – Working closely with our great ambassadors to promote our cake combs – Sharing the creations of my fellow cake decorators using our cake combs on social media – Creating & sharing cake video tutorials on the use of our combs – Consistently creating new designs for continued engagement from our customers

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started baking & decorating cakes since I was in the 6th grade. I spent time to develop my skills through various classes and through learning on my own, while working in other careers. I dedicated any free time I had to advance myself and built my business from the ground up, with the help of my husband. The challenge has been trying to prevent others from copying our work and to continue growing our business. Although it has not been easy, it certainly has been enjoyable and has been well worth it. I am so proud with the achievements of Ester Cakes and where we are right now. By working hard, I have grown to become one of the leaders in the cake combs industry. By prioritizing my customers, I have built great relationships with my customers, who in turn, continue to help our business grow. What I have learned is that you need to be humble and keep yourself engaged with fellow cake artists so that you can learn from one another. I want the world to know Ester Cakes is built by a couple who works really hard to produce high quality cake combs for cake artists around the globe. We love what we do and we want to continue to inspire others!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to visit my favorite restaurants, especially Indonesian food. I would show them where are the best places to get dessert, such as shaved ice & milk tea. I would love to show them the beautiful beaches we have in Southern California, like Laguna Beach, and historical places, such as The Getty Villa. I always have fun at Disneyland when my family visits and I would certainly take my best friend there too. Santa Monica would have exciting & interesting people, views, and activities and it would be fun to spend the day there! Overall, anything involving Asian food & desserts and being outdoors would make a great day!

I would love to dedicate my shoutout to all of my cake combs customers and most importantly, to all my ambassadors!
