We had the good fortune of connecting with Fontonette Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fontonette, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is sharing my brand story. Sharing how I became frustrated during the process of starting my first business. Even expressing my lack of knowledge on how to start, run, or manage a business. But, that was not my ending point and I refused to allow my ideas to go to waste. At that point, I knew I had to figure things out on my own. So, I searched the web, made notes for myself, and decided to push forward. In 2011, I launched my first business without any help. Once I launched, many people begin to ask, “How did you start your business”? I did not hesitate to share the information I found. From the experience of helping a hand full of people, I identified the potential growth for my future business. The thought of creating a resource business for aspiring Entrepreneurs like myself would benefit others. Just within a year, The Lady Eye-Services was born. My idea of The Lady Eye- Services was to make it a One-stop-shop for new Entrepreneurs. The more I interact with potential clients, I produce tools to help solve their problems. I did not want others to have the same experience as myself. Therefore, I begin offering Web design, Logo Design, and Business Card Design Services. My goal is to help as many people launch their first business with no stress.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Lady Eye-Services is a Business Hub for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. What sets us apart from others are the qualities in our business. We advocate for our clients by keeping them oppressed on what’s new. We introduce ways to streamline their businesses, help improve their work processes, and most importantly to see our clients thrive. We are most excited about the reaction from our clients before and after their business launch! It’s an amazing feeling! Our clients helped us become a better business. They are the reason The Lady Eye-Services is where we are today. We listened, planned, and executed! Based on our past experiences we wanted to consider our client’s concerns. We decided to take the same resources created years ago and add new meaning to them. Along the way, we learned to check and closeout invoices each month. We tend to focus on getting projects out on time but both parties have responsibilities. No matter how small our business is at the moment, we will never allow something that seriously to become overlooked. The Lady Eye-Services is not looking to fail.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends in general love to do four things; Eat, Drink, Laugh, and Dance! Therefore, the place we decide to visit must include all four qualities for a Good Girl’s Weekend! We would visit Midtown and walk the strip! I like the scenery, plus the mixed crowd. I don’t have a particular spot but it would be a night of fun! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to Elevating Women Empowerment Group, Empowering Boss Life Magazine, Bros & Beards, Encouraged By T’s Apparel, Tristan Jackson, Demond Alverez, Courtney Campbell of Different Dimensions, and LizGalore Meals for the continuous support! I appreciate each person/group for trusting my expertise in bringing their ideas to life.
