We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Boyd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work life balance? What balance? My life practically revolves around my work, from what events we decide to go to, to what restaurants we dine at to what shows we attend, sometimes even where we travel. I have definitely given myself to the job and I live my line of work in real time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a digital marketing, promotions and advertising guru. I focus on helping small to medium sized businesses of all types succeed through digital marketing practices such as SEO, SEM, programmatic buying, video advertising, streamiing television, website development and management, social media management and advertising, print advertising, event sponsorships and consultiing. By nature I am in the world of marketing and public relations and consider myself a one stop shop to help business owners of all sizes. I have been doing this for over 15 years and for the vast majority of the time I have been able to maintain more or less the top position in the nation with respect to both volume and revenue managed. I deal with an extremely large account and client list, while still enabling myself to give the most hands on service possible. I am responsive, aggressive, persistent and knowledgable in the space and challenge anyone in the digital marketing world with knowledge, guidance and providing the best services in the best interest of the customer in need.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Naturally I’m going to gravitate to the restaurant side. Here are some of my picks: Xin Chao, Eugene’s Gulf Coast Cuisine, Paulie’s, March, Kata Robata, Mala Sichuan Bistro, Blood Bros BBQ. No trip to houston is complete without a trip to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The museum district is great too, if you want to take in some culture. Also a big fan of Minute Maid Park to catch an Astros game and drink a few brews with some buds!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to credit Sigma Pi Fraternity with giving me a chance not only at the collegiate level where I had the opportunity to become the Founding President of Radford University’s Theta-Lambda Chapter of Sigma Pi but also at the post-collegiate level where they brought me on as a national consultant. Under this position, during my first year I traveled North America to existing chapters which were failing, or experiencing recruitment challenges or in some sort of trouble with the local administrations. My job was to mend them back to a healthy status where they could then thrive again. After a year of doing this, I was promoted to the head of the expansion department when we broke every record for new colonizations and new chapters during the previous 107 years of the organization. This gave me the leadership, management skills and motivational drive to succeed in the real world. I was sort of tossed right into it.
