We had the good fortune of connecting with Liliannys Espinosa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liliannys, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always been musically inclined, as long as I can remember, honestly. It always came very easily and smoothly to me, almost as if my hands were being moved by something else. It’s hard to explain. I’ve always found solace in creating, it’s a great outlet for emotions that keeps me from getting trapped in those feelings, good and bad alike.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art has always been the love child of my psyche and the ethers. Most of it I can just credit to divine intervention, and the rest of it to my actual skills.
I would say I am most proud of the actual act of doing. The pursuing of my career as a musician has undoubtedly been the most fulfilling and challenging aspect of this journey. I spend more time in my head than in the studio and that is my fatal flaw.
I want to thank everybody who has believed in my art and taken time, energy, resources, and interest and has put it behind me to fuel this path.
The brand is really just an expression of my most pertinent issue: being late- to everything, no matter how important.
(I’m working on it)

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Maaaaaaaaan, listen.
Where I live, it’s really not shit to do or see. (pardonnez mon français)
Being here in Lehigh Acres, FL, for so long, I would definitely say I found the gems.
I’d take my best friend for some delicious Mexican food at El Rinconcito Mexicano and then next door to Tohui Ice Cream for fresh home made Michoacan style ice cream.
If you’re ever in town and need some fire Caribbean food, hit Jacmel for some amazing Haitian dishes and Azucar for the best Cuban in a city filled with Cuban restaurants and bakeries. (Trust me, I’m Cuban myself)
For drinks, I’d go to downtown Ft Myers OR hit Nice Guys pizza in Cape Coral, literally the only thing I’d cross the bridge for. Their pizza and drinks are fire.
Writing this, I’m realizing all I like to do in this city is eat, oops!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my loved ones: my family, my daughter, my friends, and my good friend and musical peer, Terry.
I have been pushed to greater things than what I would accomplish by myself by those closest to me. There are times when my personal doubts would cause me to self sabotage, but I am brought back to my path by those in my life who see me and inspire me to pursue the things that I deserve.
Thank you all very much.
