Meet Pablo Ramos | Economist & entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Pablo Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pablo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It didn’t start with a perfect plan. It started with the need to build something of my own and the willingness to do work that most people overlook.
Exterior cleaning may seem simple, and in many ways it is. But doing it well takes consistency, care, and pride. What drew me in was how tangible it is. You can arrive at a home that’s been worn down by time and leave it looking alive again. It’s honest work, and it leaves a mark.
People often ask what makes us different, especially in a city like Houston where there are many companies doing the same thing. And the truth is, they’re right. There’s a lot of competition. But there’s also a lot of opportunity to do things the right way.
For me, building Glimmer is about creating a brand people can trust, one that stands for reliability, attention to detail, and respect for every home we touch.
At the end of the day, it’s about proving that even simple work can become something meaningful when you truly care about how it’s done.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I want it to be a brand that people recognize from a distance—not just because of the colors and the look, but because they already know what we stand for. Attention to detail, consistency, and work that’s done meticulously every single time. It’s not just about cleaning—it’s about how it’s done.
Getting here hasn’t been a straight path. I started in banking, then moved into running a franchise, and eventually decided to start over from zero to build something that was truly mine. Part of it comes from ambition, part of it from ego if I’m being honest—but mostly from the desire to build something that lasts, something I can stand behind and call my own.
It hasn’t been easy. I’ve had a lot of support from my family and friends, and I wouldn’t be here without them. But even with that support, this is something that’s built day by day. One decision at a time. And I’ve learned that it can also fall apart just as quickly if you lose focus or stop caring.
We’re still growing, and we’re doing it step by step, slow, but steady. What I’m most proud of is that everything we’ve built so far has been done with intention. No shortcuts.
What I want people to know about Glimmer is simple: this is a brand built on pride in the work. It may look like a simple service, but behind it there’s discipline, care, and a commitment to doing things right. And at the end of the day, if that can give employment, give back to the community, i’m more than pleased with it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
After picking them from the airport, would take them to Tejas BBQ in tomball, meet old town tomball, take them to the waterway, take a tour on a boat, ride the bus that takes you through the woodlands, then finish in two tones.
Next day, go to the Post on a saturday, so that we can take a look at cars and coffee, visit downtown, maybe go to memorial park, and then eat.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many people I could mention, but I’ll keep it to three who have truly shaped my path.
First and most importantly, my dad. He taught me what hard work really looks like—showing up every day, staying humble, and always being prepared. He also taught me to never take advantage of customers or your own team, and to always stand by your word and your name. I’ve never seen him take a day off, and that example stays with me in everything I do.
Second is James Moore from TWTX. He didn’t just sell us equipment—he took the time to teach us the process and share his knowledge. He’s young, but incredibly focused and driven. Seeing that at his age pushed me to raise my own standards.
Third is Heath Phelps from Texas Exterior Washing. He’s built something big in this industry, but what stands out the most is his humility. He’s always willing to help others, especially those of us just starting out, and his guidance has made a real impact on me.
