We had the good fortune of connecting with Portia Landry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Portia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Thankful to God that was fortunate enough to grow up in a loving household with y parents and siblings. My mother always made sure we had homecooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and some nights she would even make homemade treats from scratch like cookies, cake, cinnamon rolls, candy apples, pies etc and I would be in the Kitchen along side of her helping and that grew into love and wanting to share one of my gifts with the world. 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My cookies are all hand made from scratch with the best ingredients. I want to always ensure that my customers have the best of the best so we don’t cut any corners when it comes to products. I love baking and bring smiles to peoples faces and with all that is going on in the world I’m happy to do so. I’m so excited about my company “Geaux Landry Sweet Treats” future as it is bright! I have been baking for at least 10 years and the challenges hasn’t been too great however the way to overcome any challenge it to keep going and one day you will look back and be thankful that you did. I want the world to know that Geaux Landry” pride ourselves in promoting great customer service…we do all that we can to ensure that they will always have a great experience with us.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my Parents Bishop & First Lady Wayne and Senia Landry!! They are my reason for wanting to share my gifts. They are my biggest supporters and above all people they are my favorite two people that I strive to make proud! I LOVE them so much and it is my endeavor to become a millionaire to take care of them!
