We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosalinda Alvarez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rosalinda, what matters most to you?
Integrity. Having honesty and integrity is something I prioritize in all aspects of my life, wether personal or professional. I believe it is incredibly important because living with integrity allows me to feel at peace with any outcome and allows me to feel more deserving of all the positive things that come my way.
What should our readers know about your business?
That’s the Vibe LLC is dedicated to creating moments and event setups that fully immerse you in the perfect atmosphere, transforming special occasions into unforgettable memories! We offer luxury picnics, tablescapes, kids’ tables, proposals, and custom themes. What sets That’s the Vibe apart is the emphasis on creativity and meticulous attention to detail that I bring to every event.
Creativity has always been a passion of mine and feels natural to me. It serves as an outlet for self-expression that genuinely brings me joy. Bringing my ideas to life and seeing the results of my creative efforts is incredibly fulfilling. When I started, I sought the control, freedom, and fulfillment that come with owning a business while pursuing my true passion: creating and curating joyful experiences! I found a way to blend both of these through the creation of different vibes in my event setups.
At times, it hasn’t been easy, but believing in myself and my work enough to consistently show up, and having the resilience to keep going when faced with roadblocks, is essential to my success. I’ve learned how vital resilience and consistency are for achieving growth.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start with a brunch at Traveler’s Table, where they have a diverse menu, then head to the Houston Museum of Fine Arts and the Houston Museum of Natural Science to explore the wonderful exhibits.
We would also do some shopping at The Galleria. Take a break for ice skating and try out one of the escape rooms.
We would definitely Visit POST, where you can take cool photos, have some snacks, and enjoy the beautiful Houston skyline from the rooftop.
Catching an Astros game to experience the local sports scene is a must!
I would take them for dinner at Xochi, known for its exceptional Oaxacan cuisine, then stop for some delicious mango dessert at Hui Lau Shan,
and wrap up the night at Rooftop Cinema, where you can watch a movie with a view.
To explore the nightlife we would visit a couple of bars in EaDo and Main Street.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents and my family deserve this dedication for their ungoing support! I grew up witnessing the way my parents built a life for themselves and my family, and they support me everyday to build mine. This is something I am beyond proud and grateful for as it has instilled in me a strong work ethic and shown me that so many things are attainable even if they seem difficult.
