We had the good fortune of connecting with Shi’Ana Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shi’Ana, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by real people with real experiences the ones navigating everyday life, growth, challenges, confidence, and self-discovery. I’ve never been drawn to perfection or overly curated images of what people think beauty or success should look like. What inspires me most is authenticity the woman building herself up, the person learning to embrace who they are, and the individuals showing up as themselves even when life isn’t picture perfect. I believe there’s beauty and power in honesty, individuality, and the stories people carry, and that perspective influences everything I create.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is rooted in storytelling, confidence, and authenticity. Through my brand SHIAN and my new OFF DUTY™ collection, I aim to create pieces and visuals that reflect real people, real experiences, and everyday confidence. I’m inspired by lifestyle, beauty, and fashion that feels elevated yet still relatable.

What sets me apart is that I’m building my brand from a genuine place. I’m not focused on perfection I’m focused on growth, process, and creating something meaningful that people can connect with. I’m most proud of building a vision that represents ambition, confidence, and self-expression in a real way.

My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to learn discipline, patience, and consistency while navigating multiple roles as a creator and entrepreneur. The challenges taught me that progress matters more than perfection, and that staying true to your vision is everything. Also keeping the main thing the main thing and that is fashion and creating.

What I want the world to know is that my brand is about empowerment and becoming your best self while embracing where you are right now. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to keep growing and building something impactful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d plan a week full of good food, creativity, and fun experiences. We’d start slow with matcha runs and cute café hopping, then spend the day trying different foods around Houston and exploring shopping spots and aesthetic places for content. I’d take them to fun events or pop ups if anything is happening, and definitely squeeze in arcade nights and playful activities for something light and exciting. One day would be more creative, like making a rug or doing a hands on DIY activity, just to tap into that artistic side I love. The trip would be a mix of good eats, inspiration, and experiences that feel fun but also memorable and creative.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my grandparents and my great uncles and aunts. They played a huge role in shaping me into the person I am today. Each of them taught me something valuable through their wisdom, love, strength, and life experiences. Their support, guidance, and the way they carried themselves inspired me from a young age, and many of the values I hold today come from them. I’m truly grateful for the impact they’ve had on my life and journey.
