We had the good fortune of connecting with Shweta Vasudeva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shweta, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
” Dare to Dream and believe in yourself”
When you start living the life of your dreams, there will always be obstacles, doubters, mistakes and setbacks along the way. But with hard work, determination, perseverance, positive attitude and self belief there is no limit to what you can achieve. Be a go-getter, don’t stop until you have achieved and enjoy the journey.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an independent artist – Actress/Model/TV Host/Dancer/Choreographer/Software Professional based in Austin, TX. I am proud of the Versatility I can bring in as an Artist. My never give up attitude sets me apart from the rest.
Its been a lot of hard work, dedication and persistence. Being an immigrant and coming from an engineering background to a breakthrough in the entertainment field has been quite a journey. I started my career as a Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer and have recently ventured into Acting.
I was born in the city of dreams Mumbai, India and have always been fascinated by Bollywood. I moved to Austin, TX 15 years back. I have featured in three original music video as a female lead and i am looking forward to more projects in the coming months. I am also the Anchor of Global International Indian Icon 2020 to be featured on Indian TV Channel Sahara One. I won the HR Dance Challenge & was recognized by Bollywood SuperStar Hrithik Roshan in Dallas, USA in January 2020! I have featured and been interviewed on local TV channels and Radio as an Artist. Walked the ramp as a Model for designers in Various shows and got published in International Magazines. My experience has given me the opportunity to Judge several local Talent shows.
In past, i have been instrumental in orchestrating several South Asian Events in Austin to generate thousands of attendees. I have donated my hours and talent to support various Non-Profit organizations over the years. Given several Dance performances on stage and been a Dance Instructor to several Adults and kids for years. I totally believe, “The things you are passionate about are not random. They are your calling.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Texas, the Lone Star State, is the second largest as well as the second most populated state in the US. It also holds some of the most beautiful spots in the world. Beautiful sights, lovely people and amazing cities. I would definitely take my friend to Mount Bonnell which is considered to be the highest point in Austin, offering one of the most exquisite vantage points in the entire city. Dinner at Oasis Restaurant in Austin overlooking the spectacular view of Lake Travis and enjoying the beautiful sunset. For shopping, clubs and Nightlife The Domain in Central Austin.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A big shout out to all my Family, Friends, co-artists for always supporting me in all my endeavors. They are my biggest cheerleaders. Love you all !!
