We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamir Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamir, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was creating a brand that is affordable for everyone.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I retired from playing professional basketball overseas and didn’t know what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted to stay around the game that I love. So I started working at my university “Rice University” to see if I wanted to go the college athletic route but I decided I would rather be my own boss so I took the NBA Agent Test. I also trained kids in basketball and my main focus was teaching them how to score the ball. So I called my camp SCOR3 AT Wi11 and said that would be a catchy athletic brand name.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Japanese Garden in Hermann Park. I go out there and just relax and let ideas flow.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family and loved ones deserve all the credit because how much they support me and don’t ask for any discounts.
