Meet Tiffany Lam | Makeup Artist and Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Lam and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always believed that a true artist’s work reflects not just technique, but a personal story – and makeup has been my canvas since my teens. Growing up with eczema and acne, I experienced firsthand how transformative and healing makeup can be. It wasn’t just about covering flaws; it was about rediscovering confidence when I felt most vulnerable.
That experience sparked my passion. I poured myself into art – studying painting, absorbing techniques as a self-taught artist, and honing those skills at Sephora and in editorial settings.
When I realized I could use colors and textures to bring out someone’s best features – making them feel seen, beautiful, and uplifted; I knew I had found my purpose. Choosing this path was more than just a career choice as it let me fuse creativity and empathy. Whether designing a bridal look that lasts all day or teaching clients 1-on-1, each session is a collaborative art piece. Seeing someone transform, embrace their beauty, and glow with confidence… that feeling is irreplaceable.
I’m driven by the hope that each person I work with leaves not just looking glamorous but feeling empowered. That’s why I pursued this path: to create beauty that resonates deeper than skin, ignites self-belief, and celebrates the artistry we all hold inside.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Tiffany G’lam isn’t like any other bridal team – and that’s something I take great pride in. We’re not about volume or quick wins. I’ve built this brand around the belief that quality always comes first. Every client, every face, every moment deserves care, precision, and artistry – and that’s exactly what we deliver.
What sets us apart is the hands-on approach I bring both on the field and behind the scenes. I’m not just the artist showing up on wedding days – I’m also the mentor, the educator, and the leader investing in my team’s growth. I train each artist individually, pouring time and attention into perfecting technique, professionalism, and client experience. My goal isn’t just to have a “team”; I want to build a community of artists who share the same standard of excellence and passion for what we do.
Getting to where I am today was far from easy. I built this through passion, grit, and endless trial and error. And honestly, I’m still learning every single day. I continue to evolve; reimagining what’s possible for both my clients and my team, always with the goal of doing better and being better.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is to stay true to myself. It can be easy to get lost in trends or comparisons, but real growth has only come when I listened to my intuition – and more importantly, when I listened to my team. They are the backbone of everything. Their feedback, well-being, and success matter just as much as mine, because our strength comes from collaboration and mutual trust.
What I want the world to know about Tiffany G’lam is that we’re more than just a beauty service – we’re an experience and a standard. We’re here to make people feel seen, celebrated, and beautiful.
That’s the heart of my brand. And it’s only just the beginning.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Houston, I’d keep it fun, cozy, and filled with all my favorite local gems.
We’d start the mornings with coffee from Slowpokes or Sunday Press, then take a peaceful walk through Memorial Park or Hermann Park to soak up the outdoors.
Food-wise, I’d take them to The Breakfast Klub for brunch, Crawfish Cafe for Viet-Cajun seafood, Katami for amazing sushi, and Liuyishou Hot Pot for a fun, flavorful dinner experience.
At night, we’d grab cocktails at Anvil or Refuge – both have a great vibe and even better drinks. It’d be the perfect mix of relaxation, good eats, and quality time in my favorite city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my mother. Growing up, I didn’t fully realize the impact she had on my life. Without even knowing it, I followed in her footsteps – watching her quietly as she built the life she dreamed of, entirely on her own.
After immigrating from Vietnam following the war, she earned her cosmetology license and soon after opened her own salon. Over the years, she’s owned several, always pushing forward with grit and grace. Every single day, she continues to fight to be the best version of herself.
She is, and always will be, the strongest woman I know.
