We had the good fortune of connecting with Pimptress and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pimptress, do you have a budget?
Honestly I don’t have a specific budget but what I do have is definitely not enough for all the things we as artist in the entertainment business have to invest in. It can get extremely expensive. You only can do what you can do though. If you have a business mindset and kind of have knowledge in the marketing and promotion side you will know what to invest in that’s best for situation. I have to still think of my bills at home. I’m not going to be homeless ever but I will do what I can to get to where I need to be. If I don’t have it I just don’t have it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I can say I’m very proud of myself for being able to stay consistent and keep going throughout all my obstacles. I was recently able to open at my first arena show a few months back and the outcome of that was incredible! What sets me apart from others is the fact that I am living proof and the true definition of NEVER GIVING UP! I don’t think many people would have stayed in it this long dealing with what all I had to deal with and still now. I got to where I am today by never giving up and just simply believing in my dream. I’d say faith is what got me here! It definitely has not been an easy journey. I came from the bottom it’s nowhere to go but to the top so I just kept that mindset and kept going. People wouldn’t believe how I’ve been treated, overlooked, etc it’s been embarrassing at times but each time I still move forward because no one and I mean no one will stop me from my dream. I learned to believe more and think positive and I think that has helped alot also with my decision making. I want the world to know my story and you can find that out by streaming all my music. My Grind Don’t Stop I want my fans to always remember that saying

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of the best places to eat are in Tampa Bay! I’d definitely have to take them to TNT Burger they have the best burgers and it’s a nice vibe! Holy Fry would be another good spot! For drinks we could go anywhere on the beach in Clearwater and it’s a definite vibes! If we’re going clubbing I’d go to Tampa it all depends on what that person likes or would wanna do. If it’s summer and we wanna really turn up and have some fun on the water we could go rent some skis from exotic jet cars! Etc

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d definitely like to shout out my team! My A&R Farro Jarro first & foremost being that he discovered me about year or so ago and the rest is history. He introduced me to Rob Terell which is my current manager. He is the Sony/Wealth Nation CEO and also manages me under Rocstar World! Working with these 2 very intelligent guys has been a blessing. It feels good to have people standing behind you and knowing they have your back every step of the way. I can call them and talk to them about anything, when I’m frustrated and wanna give up, etc!!!!
