We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyssa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My first thought was how? I’ve always wondered how so many influencers, and people whom I go to with small business started and kept motivation every day as they posted and promoted. What was it like to have been critiqued and have someone blow up out of the blue.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Everyone does art. Some shape or Form, art is showing in multiple ways. I’d say mine comes as my hands desire to make, wether is may be through metal work, through digital art, photography or paper, my mind finds ways to differently express myself or what others want to present to the world, as I help them make their visions come to life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ou, I’d take them towards Channelview and maybe Even out to downtown. Get some good tacos at Tacabron, and out for some drinks at Dogwood.

Although, I suck at major events I love going to mini golf, and new exhibits that randomly visit houston, especially if there’s some good food and drinks involved.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve had plenty of people in my life to guide me, a few of those aren’t here anymore to read what i want to say, however shout out to them for always believe in me and being quite persistent on pushing me every single day to keep working on what I’ve always wanted to accomplish.
