We had the good fortune of connecting with Florencia Zampieri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Florencia, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Ya desde mi infancia todo lo relativo a las artes me atraía. Danza, plástica, canto, piano. Mi gran sueño era poder estudiar en una Academia Multidisciplinar, Bellas Artes o similar.
Pinto desde que tengo uso de razón. No fue casual elegir la Arquitectura que es una carrera que es entendida como el Arte de proyectar edificios.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Pinto desde que pude sostener un lápiz por mi misma, luego elegi una carrera tan técnica como artística. Segui incursionando y experimentando técnicas en distintos talleres con grandes maestros. Pero el despegue como carrera fue cuando fui seleccionado para representar a mi país, Argentina, en la Primera Bienal de Arte en México, luego fue ser certificada como artista en Usa. Ser premiada en Emiratos fue también otro impulso ya que luego expuse en Uruguay, Chile, Estados Unidos, Europa y Japón.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Para pasear sugiero Palermo, comer variado y ver locales de diseño de autor.
Caminar por Puerto Madero, para contemplar el sector más nuevo de Bs As. Recorrer los lagos de Palermo y bordear Costanera. Lo invitaría un café por Recoleta, visitando museos, Malba y edificios eclécticos.
Un almuerzo en San Telmo para que se lleve un recuerdo bien argentino.

Le agradezco a mi familia, a las personas que confiaron en mi y en mi trabajo. A mis profesores que me trasladaron su pasión y amor por transmitir conocimientos, me encuentro cumpliendo treinta años como profesora universitaria.
Al Dr. Wallace y al Dr. Poulin por ver en mi una aliada para difundir sus teorías y proyectos.
