We had the good fortune of connecting with Calvin Rapture and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Calvin, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
You will take many Losses across the way. More than you would hope for. If you are able to redirect those losses to lessons rather, you will overcome and Adapt to anything. Practice diligence.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Nothing about this journey is easy. You sacrifice a lot of money, and more importantly, time. A lot of people have this idea that success will come overnight. I’m not where I want to be quite yet, but I’m sure headed in the right direction and am built to handle whatever life throws at me along the way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If they want to have a damn good time hopefully they came during a weekend we throw a TEXAS GENOCIDE event. Other than that they gotta fade Cane’s. I hear they got other places around the US that try at that same formula but fail. I been to Dave’s hot Chicken in LA. It was mid.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
