We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriel Faith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adriel, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My whole life it’s been my dream to somehow be involved in the artistic and creative side of things. But the main reason I decided to pursue this career is because I knew my voice needed to be heard. Because there’s so many people going through what I went through or that just need a sense of hope and encouragement.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My music is meant to glorify God but also to help the hopeless. My goal has never been to try to be famous. I just want to make an impact and do my part in my community with good music. And I think that alone sets me apart and differentiates me from a lot of artists. A lot of hard work and prayer has gone into my career and I’ve surely seen the fruits of it all. Has it been easy? No it surely hasn’t, with many people hating on me and health issues in the way and depression and anxiety things tend to be difficult. But God has always provided a way out and has opened new doors for me. So with at being said this journey has taught me to never give up your faith in something.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, Houston is a huge city with lots of different places to visit and enjoy. But one of my favorite things to do in Houston, and this might seem a little basic, but I like to drive or walk around the downtown area. I love to visit vintage stores and see new things and meet new people. One of the traditions me and my friend have is that every time we go to downtown we have to hit a pizza spot named Frank’s Pizza. So if you haven’t been there I recommend that spot 100%. One of the best pizza places in the city! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I want to give a shoutout to God because I know that without him, none of this would be possible. Also my parents who have supported me since the start of my journey. And my small group of friends who also supported me and helped me grow. Not only musically but they also challenged me mentally and in life.
