Meet Manny Griggs | Social Media Influencer & Comedian

We had the good fortune of connecting with Manny Griggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Manny, what role has risk played in your life or career?
To me that’s what life is all about. Risks are necessary especially when it comes to how you see yourself in the world. Most people I know that play it safe and refuse to roll the dice always look back on what they could’ve done if given the opportunity again. You’d be surprise how far you can go in life if you take a risk on yourself. Like QUAVO says shoot for the stars aim for the moon.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a social media influencer and comedian. As a child I always enjoyed making my family laugh and being the life of the party at family gatherings. My mother told me I always had a light inside me and it shinned bright. 2 years ago I decided to start making comedy skits on YouTube with the hopes of gaining a large following and being the guy known for making people laugh. It’s my gift to the word. Prior to that I did 7 years in the Air Force and decided to give that up because I felt like that was no longer my purpose. Making content brings me great joy and so far I’ve met a lot of great people along my journey. In 2017 I had the pleasure of meeting Megan thee stallion before she became the household name we know her for today. A few months ago I ran into rapper Quando Rondo at memorial city mall. Shortly after that I met social media comedian Tim bae after my comedy show at Dusse sports bar. Here recently I’ve been a comedy guest on Aries Spears podcast show as well. It’s been a journey so far and a pleasure meeting so many people that we see and love today. Some challenges I experienced along the way was a lot of people telling me I can’t or didn’t believe in me, but that never stopped me, it motivated me to keep going. Today I want the world to know Me Manny Griggs as a brand and one day a household name because regardless of what other people have to say I want the world to know that with the right amount of focus and vision anything is possible. This is just the beginning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a spicy question. Being that I’m from houston and know the city like the back of my hand, just know that the party never ends with Manny. For starters I’m taking them to Phil and derricks for comedy and good food it’s like an all in 1. Then for the night life there’s so many popping clubs and hookah lounges just take your pick. Downtown houston is the heart of the nightlife so I’d just say take my hand and follow me to where the fun is at, you’ll love it here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
That’s an easy one my mom Ms. Camille. She’s been there for me every step of the way. I think drake said it the best when he stated that a mothers love doesn’t come close. A lot of people don’t understand the love I have for my mom is what motivates me to keep going hard. I never look back or think about giving up because when I feel like that she’s right there with the words, the actions, the love that I need to keep going. God has also been my support system in the process. If there’s any moment In your life when you don’t feel adequate or quite good enough go to him and he’ll lead you on faith. Faith only requires a mustard seed remember that.
