We had the good fortune of connecting with Alfredo Salvi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alfredo, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business and any other that shares mine goals, has a great and wonderful impact in any community since I’m focus on improving everybody health and lifestyle. My job is not just preparing meal plans, or nutritional plans for my clients, my main goal is teaching them to recognize the kind of food they need to get healthier lives and avoid illness.

In the same way, more than training my clients I teach them how to recognize the exercises, movements and routines they need in order to achieve their own goals.

The last (by schedule time, since I start my daily routine at 4:00 a.m., and this activity is at 6 pm.) but maybe the most important of my activities is my role as a Nutritional Coach into the C.F.10 Soccer Academy, where I assist more than 100 kids from 5 y.o. to 16 y.o., providing them nutritional plans that help them to grow up healthy and being able to get better performance as soccer players.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think everyone has his/her own system, methodology, and everyone get their own results according to it, and I respect all of them, but in my case, I think the difference is that I treat every client as my family, and as I’ve always done, I give my family as much as I can in any way. So, it doesn’t matter if they’re coming for an evaluation, or for a nutritional plan, or if they’re training with me, they become my family and I give them as much as I can, starting with the knowledges. I’m not selfish at all, so I don’t keep anything to me, I share as much as I can with any of them, because my goal is give them the keys to get a better lifestyle.

I started working out 26 years ago, and I fall in love with this discipline since day 1. Thank God back in those days I had two coach who taught me what should and what shouldn’t without hesitate, so nowadays I’m doing the same in return. I don’t keep anything for myself.

There’s a funny and curious thing about me becoming or starting as a professional in this area. The fact is that I’ve been working out for the last 26 years, and I’ve helped, teach and support hundreds of person, but I never taught my passion will become my profession until I moved from my country to Miami almost 8 years ago. Once in Miami I learned all my knowledge on this area was supposed to be paid when the owner of the gym I used to assist to asked me to work for them after realize the work I had been doing with some friend of mine designing workouts routines and helping them to get in shape. Until that day I had never thought about it, since i was a single father immigrant who needs to feed their family, working in 3 locations at the same time as valet parking, and only used to thing about getting money to pay the bills.

After this episode I enroll online to get my certification as a Personal Trainer and Nutritional Coach while I kept working around 90 hrs. per week.

I think not too many things are “easy”, and as it says “the easiest thing doesn’t worth”. It hasn’t been easy, but worth every single minute. Maybe biggest challenge is being a single father who takes her daughter to the school and pick her up every day, at the same time do the home duties and gets his clients in shape. Easy, not at al, possible of course it is, I’m 100% sure we can do anything we really want.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Houston has many beautiful places to visit. Since I’m a sport fans I’ll take him/her to an Astros/Rockets/Texans game. Also to the Aquarium and Houston Zoo. There’s a lot of local breweries to know where we can enjoy a really good time, and even if they don’t drink (as me that I don’t drink alcohol) we can enjoy good music, food and some other activities.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

Well, before anyone else God. I have to thank HIM for everything I have, for everything I’ve been able to make, for became the person I am.

Then I should thank my parents for their support, even now my mom still giving me a huge support in many ways. They taught me and show me to give always my best, to work hard to get what I want, to do what I love, and maybe the most important, they showed me what a good human being must be, and I work everyday to become in a better one.

I must thank all my former coach, all those persons who made me fall in love with this discipline, specially Mr. Raul Garcia, who has been, and still being a coach, a teacher and a friend,

The last but not the least important I must thank is Dr. Lenin Torres, who has been a huge support and a teacher. Having Dr. Torres as a therapist, has literally changed my life in many ways, and I must thank God for getting him on my way, and thank him for his support and encouraging me to give even more from myself
