We had the good fortune of connecting with Annie Eifler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Annie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind GCE’s longevity and success are the relationships we’ve formed over our almost five decades in the industry, and our relentless dedication to excellence. Our clients hire us because they value knowledge and industry expertise. They know they are going to be represented with class, excellence, integrity, and respect for everyone. Artists know we understand entertainment production and what they need in order to put on a great show.

We know how much pressure is on our clients’ events teams to “get it right” for their partnership, and we take my job very seriously to make sure the entertainment is seamless and perfectly executed.

When a company comes to us looking to book headline entertainment, whether that’s a celebrity artist, a motivational speaker, or a high-energy party band, they’re not just hiring a vendor, they are engaging a partner. Our clients trust us to take care of the entertainment aspects of their event, and we do not take that for granted.

We are the connective tissue between clients who have a vision and the top-tier talent who can bring it to life. As my colleague Sam Austin put it so well, “We are the difference between a good show and a great show.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Gulf Coast Entertainment has been in business for over 45 years, and that alone says something. In an industry where agencies come and go, we’ve been the company that corporate clients and private event hosts return to — not just once, but for decades.

What sets us apart is simple: we are the real deal. When someone needs to book headline entertainment for a corporate event, whether that’s a Grammy-winning artist, a world-class motivational speaker, or a party band who can keep everyone on the dancefloor, they need a partner who has actually done it before, and done it with excellence. That’s us. We’ve spent 45+ years building the relationships, the logistical expertise, and the institutional knowledge that makes the difference between a good event and an unforgettable one.

We’re based in Houston, but we go wherever our clients go. We’ve produced corporate entertainment experiences across the country, working with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, DMC’s and private clients who simply want the best. Our throughline is always the same: bring in extraordinary talent and execute flawlessly.

Getting here wasn’t always easy. The entertainment industry is unpredictable by nature — artists cancel, logistics fall apart, and client expectations are always high. What we’ve learned over four and a half decades is that reputation is everything. When you say you’re going to deliver, you deliver. Every single time. That commitment to follow-through has made us one of the most trusted entertainment booking companies in the country.

What I want the world to know is this: if you’re trying to figure out how to book entertainment for a corporate event — whether it’s a live band for a gala, a celebrity keynote speaker for your annual conference, or a comedian for your company holiday party — you don’t have to navigate that process alone or take chances on an agency without a track record. Gulf Coast Entertainment has been solving exactly that problem for over 45 years. We know the talent, we know the process, and we know how to make it work. That’s what we’re here for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is one of the most diverse and interesting cities in the country, and I never get tired of showing it off.

Day 1 — Drinks and a show. Arrive and head to Anvil for a cocktail, and then head over to the new Doc’s for a jazz show. I love that we now have a world-class jazz showcase for local and international jazz artists.

Day 2 — Culture and the Museum District. Spend the morning at The Menil Collection, which is outstanding in every way and completely free. Head to brunch at Tiny Boxwood’s and then back to the museum district to check out the MFAH, followed by an evening walk in Hermann Park.

Day 3 — The Heights and Montrose. These are two of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city. Great local shops, coffee, brunch spots, and the kind of walkable energy Houston doesn’t always get credit for. Don’t forget to check out live music venue Rockefeller’s, which GCE’s Founding Owner Susie Criner owned for decades from the 70’s-90’s. It’s where we have our roots!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My team! Susie, Sam, Sara, Alana, and our newest addition, Kris, who is managing our new Rockies division!
