We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Fletcher, MS-HRM and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, what principle do you value most?
The values that matters to me most to me in no particular order are Loyalty, compassion, authenticity, integrity, and kindness. You really can’t be successful in life unless you have a good set of values. Values are most important. It is like the mantra of the very being of daily living with a daily ‘choice’ of how to move. Values are the things, concepts and ideas we consider to be good, important, and valuable in making our lives better.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart is the passion as an HR Manager now assisting clients with real insight from an HR Professional that of course normally wouldn’t be able to be shared after an interview or on the job. As a Resume Writer I have first-hand experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and how to tailor your resume. I am most proud of being relentless with my craft and continuing to hone in on my skills with continued education to stay abreast of the industry trends for clients while still providing reasonable pricing for services.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a creole woman from Southwest Louisiana – Lake Charles – and I am truly a foodie so I live for upscale fun with twerk music in the background (LOL). SO we would have to hit the spots for happy hour, bunches and just good food. This is prior to the Pandemic of course although I am happy to say I have both doses of the vaccine trying to do my part. On Friday for Happy Hour my go-to spot was always Grooves of Houston for the $0.75 drinks and wings that are amazing. For crawfish season I am always found at Honore’s Cajun Cafe in Manvel but I must say the crawfish are the BEST but nothing else on the menu is season unfortunately. A close 2nd to their crawfish is Steamboat bills and their other menu items are really good. Now for a Sunday brunch I am a Phil and Derek girl and I will always order the greens because it taste like someone grandmother who is a Deaconess made them with prayers and love. Houston is filled with gems of food. Of course the infamous Turkey Leg Hut although I like to go mid week when no long line and on Almeda I love the grown and sexy vibes of 5015 and the food of Reggae Hut. I am big on supporting the local chains as much as possible in Houston. A new great one too is a food truck where my close friend is the chef the 627 truck and Sparkle does her thing as usual. Houston is such a melting pot for food and fun. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother, Bessie Fletcher deserves credit in my success in my life. She along with my father both played intricate parts in my life to mold me. Although they were never married and I lived solely with my mother my father was always my favorite guy. However, there is NOTHING and I mean NOTHING like a mother’s love, sacrifice and commitment to her children no matter how old they become. For this love and devotion I am forever indebted for the things she has instilled in me. Thank you mama! I love you.
