We had the good fortune of connecting with Mari Shadle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mari, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would like to leave a seed in people. I would like to leave this world a better place than when I found it. I would like people to remember me like a person who motivated them to keep going, who helped them with a word, a positive message or a simply hug.
What should our readers know about your business?
As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach I’ve discovered new ways to help women in their wellness journeys. And, I found a fun way to also incorporate art in the form of dance to help them release emotions, use dance as a part of a therapy to start loving and accepting themselves and exploring their wellbeing to be more confident and get out of the shell. This is part of my story and I’m proud of it. I used to be really shy, I didn’t have a lot of confidence in myself and all the experiences in my live have led me to realize that I could get out and express myself and that I have a voice. Dancing was also part of my life, since I was 6 years old I’ve been dancing and it helped me to express myself when I couldn’t do it with words. Now, I’m combining two of my biggest passions, dancing and wellness to help women love and discover themselves, be more confident about who they are and get out of the shells to find their own shineness and the real person they are. My journey hasn’t been easy, I came from a dysfunctional family where I was always witness to discussions and problems and for this reason I covered myself under my shell. I was afraid to talk and express my feelings, that made me a reserved person, I was afraid of saying my real opinion, I always wanted to make everybody else happy and didn’t want anybody to think bad about me. I discovered with the years that I became a person who I really wasn’t me, that I wasn’t free and that I wanted to get out of my shell to know and love the person who I really am. Of course, my story at one point of my life wasn’t easy, but all that I have been through is more than worth it because it made me who I am today. And, with my story, all my experiences and my knowledge I can help many women who may have had the same experiences and want to be free to take control of their lives and create the best version of themselves. I just want to leave my small seed in the minds of my clients and all my audience who listens to my Podcast, that we all can take control of our lives, our health and wellness, we are stronger than what we think. Life is wonderful with the ups and downs because the most difficult times show us how resilient we can be. I want to help people with my message, so they can create the best version of themselves.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ll take them to Nasa of course, to the Houston Natural Science Museum, Downtown Aquarium, The Woodlands Mall and Kemah Boardwalk. I’ll take them to eat at Dish Society, The True Food Kitchen and Texas Roadhouse.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, I want to thank Michael Hyatt for inspiring me to find a life purpose and Shawn Stevenson with his Podcast “The Model Health Show” for motivating me to start taking control of my health and create a healthy lifestyle. My parents and my siblings for all his love and support during all my life. I also dedicate this to my husband John Shadle for all his wisdom words, his support, his love and words of encouragement when I need them the most, for working behind the scenes helping me with my podcast, videos and technical support. I thank my kids Abby and David Shadle for all their love and patience. I also want to thank all my awesome friends who motivates me to keep going, letting me know that I can do it and for their support and kind words when I most need them. My clients for trusting and giving me the opportunity to grow with them. And, for motivating and challenging me to find new ways to support them.
