We had the good fortune of connecting with Rasheed Bey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rasheed, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
That if your a working model that all your gigs/ bookings and expenses all always covered and paid for.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well to be real this industry has been a up hill battle and still is at times. I’m grateful and thankful for the things I’ve done but I have a lot more to show this world. What sets me apart is many things my look being a former bodybuilder and height I’m 6’4” and covered in tattoos so I def have a polarizing look that’s diff then most and most importantly is my will power. I always grind and work for the things I want even when I’ve been told I’m not good enough or NO I keep going because my art and journey hasn’t been easy by any means .
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Tbh that’s a bit much more me I’ve never had anyone visit me for a week that’s def a long time lol. But I’d def take them around the city I think if your in NYC you have to sight see and do the touristy things like Empire State Building ,
Times Square , the highline , Bryant park, MSG and so on, shopping around soho for sure, and too many places to count for food . But def upscale spots like tao, or stk. and me being a fitness person have to hit the gym daily lol.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s is no one person in particular to shout out directly but I do want to give thanks to god indeed for the blessing and life to get me to this point and the people I do have in my life who support me and goals in life and I’m this industry.
