We had the good fortune of connecting with Rocky Banks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rocky, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It actually was an easy one. I’ve always been around business oriented people. Even when my focus was else where, I handled transactions under the same blueprint as a business owner ; I knew jumping into music I needed to be ahead of the curve and have my business in order to protect myself from an transgressions.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe anything worth having will not come easy. My journey has been an enlightening one. It’s built so much character for me in other areas of my life. Struggling with many personal bouts, trying to balance two worlds became easier when I started to become transparent with myself and used my life as as a canvas for my art.
I want the world to know that this Gods work I’m doing but we all here to do just that. What sets me apart is understanding that We are on borrowed, so attention to detail is vital. What you see is what you get this is not a character.
Im most proud of the moments my words reach a person with the same conviction as when I wrote it. Those moments bring me comfort and motivation to keep pushing forward.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well first, I’d tell them to go get breakfast at The Breakfast Klub. Then get a workout in at Herman park, after that go get lunch and drinks at Lost & Found. Later that night I say go to Playground HTX and enjoy the ambience.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course, I wanna send a shoutout to the Yellow Heart Gang, every living organism and Allah. Thank all of you for allowing me to move as a vessel.
