Meet Tomeka Wilson | Founder and CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tomeka Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tomeka, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
It’s hard to say one but I will say raising my children to know that God is the source will be the most impactful truth that I have done. Can I just say this? Also speaking positive affirmations/declarations to them to teach them their identity in God and who they will be to the world. They will be impactful global leaders who have a Kingdom assignment to fulfill.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Tomeka Wilson and I am a personal finance and business coach who teaches, ignites, empowers individuals and businesses to operate from a surplus position. My goal is to provide my clients with financial-building strategies to create sustainable skills that will produce generational legacy wealth. My financial model includes education, longevity, and measurable results. I have a progressive teaching style and want to see my clients prosper in their finances and business.
What sets me apart from others is that I actually have receipts. I am able to tangibly prove that the strategies I teach is what I used to successfully achieve my financial goals. There are a lot of people who are not honest in this industry. And use their charisma to profit. It’s not right. With God backing me and real proof, I am able to help people understand how their money (it’s just a tool) can work for them for profitability.
I am most proud that I get to see the results of my client’s hard work reward them in the form of hundreds/thousands of dollars saved from simply reframing how they see, allocate, and spend money. I am excited about how my business is growing through word of mouth/referrals. It’s great to see my clients appreciate my services and then share them with their network.
This is really a God led idea that has allowed me to identify a problem within my community (poor money management) and provide a solution (financial education with implementation).
This certainly wasn’t easy. In order for me to adequately teach someone, I had to first prove that it worked for me first! I first had to dig deep and find out where the leak in my finances were and stop it. That happened by reviewing my monthly expenditures and developing a zero based budget to balance things. Once I consistently implemented this, I saw results. In which I began to see extra dollars in my account per month. I then began to use those extra dollars. I put them in investment accounts where I began to see a consistent monthly return due to the miraculous wonder of compound interest!
I have learned that compound interest and time are a phenomenon that if started early on; can put you in a position to be financially stable at an early age. I have also learned to have mentors who are already where you want to be and don’t mind imparting wisdom and knowledge to you. And who has your best interest at heart. One more lesson is to learn the tax code for your industry or business. I do believe the tax codes were written in support of business owners but not having the proper knowledge or tax professional can cost you.
I want the world to know I am creating a workforce to help individuals not be the working poor and actually create wealth for their families by properly managing their finances and multiplying the “extra”. There are everyday millionaires walking around the difference is they had a strategy and implemented it.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, mom, brother, mentor, and daughter are absolutely my cheerleaders! They are a strong support system that keeps me grounded, humbled, accountable, and moving forward!
