We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis & Monay Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Travis & Monay, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Having been involved in our community through working with state entities, ministry, mentoring, and community service… we noticed that there was something missing. We’d see programs geared towards women, women & children, children, or men & women… but nothing that serviced the family unit as whole. We believe the family unit is a pivotal piece in communities growing and thriving. We saw that families were overwhelmed and losing hope, and we wanted to step in to help change the narrative.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are a company that assists starter families who are overwhelmed financially, in their marriage, and with raising their children, to restore their life direction, communication, and confidence, so that they can have more peace, less stress and become the highest version of themselves, individually and as a unit.

Having been married for 7 years and having 3 children, we saw how day to day life as a married couple and working parents could create an environment for us to drift apart as a couple, and get lost in the roles we assumed during the day. It was difficult to navigate some of the different seasons we’ve experienced during our marriage, but the truth is, all we did… was make a decision. That decision was to choose each other, and choose our family. It was a decision that gave us power to agree, and come together and make things happen as a team. That has to be the most valuable lesson we’ve learned along the way… that when we come together in agreement, we can do anything.

We want the world to know that we daily do the work to remove barriers and overcome the challenges in our own lives, and we now help other young married couples defy the odds, and create the new narrative. We can’t wait to partner with you, and see you take the initiative of bringing your family to the next level of becoming the highest version of yourselves!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend was visiting the area, If we were looking to do a daytime activity, we’d also have to check out the WhiteWater Center to experience some white water rafting!

For lunch, we’d definitely go to Optimist Hall… which is like a food court, but much more eclectic and abstract. There is literally a food option for everyone!

For drinks, we’d go to the Búho Bar. They have drinks, and tapas, and an amazing ambiance!

For a night time activity, I would take them to the Comedy Zone; there are always great comedians there who put on amazing shows.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to dedicate a shout out to Jakiya Brown-Thiaw. She has help us develop our brand, get a clear vision, and understand exactly how we can bring our vision to life. She is the best Brand Marketing Strategist out there!
