We had the good fortune of connecting with Tricia Fleck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tricia, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I’ve learned that the desire to give up usually comes from exhaustion, not a lack of purpose. I’ve walked through seasons of deep loss and grief, and there were moments when continuing felt incredibly hard. In those times, I pause instead of quitting. I pray, listen, and I remind myself why I started and Who has carried me this far.
My faith has been the anchor that keeps me grounded. Even when I didn’t have clarity, I trusted that God wasn’t finished with my story. Creating became part of my healing…upcycling worn pieces into something meaningful reminded me that broken things still hold value.
If I had to give advice to others,,,I’d say, don’t mistake a hard season for the end of your journey. Rest when you need to, pivot when necessary, but don’t ever give up on the spark that brings you peace and purpose.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply keep going.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is rooted in transformation — not just of clothing, but of stories. I specialize in upcycled, re-fashioned pieces that are mostly one of a kind. Every jacket, flannel, or denim piece I create has lived a life before it reaches my hands, and I honor that history while giving it a bold, soulful second chapter. My work isn’t mass-produced or trend-driven — it’s intuitive, emotional, and deeply personal.

Boho Glam was built from over 30 years of creative evolution. I began making handmade jewelry, eventually owned and operated a boutique for 16 years, and later found myself drawn back to thrifting, traveling to shows in a vintage Shasta trailer, and reconnecting with the art of reinvention. That season gave birth to the brand I have today.

The journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced uncertainty, loss, and seasons of starting over. What carried me through was faith, resilience, and the willingness to trust my creative instincts. I’ve learned that success comes from authenticity and persistence — when you create from the heart, people feel it.

Boho Glam is more than clothing. It’s wearable art made with intention, grit, gratitude, and purpose — a reminder that reinvention is always possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first hope they were coming during my show season ! Warrenton/Roundtop Antiques Road show is a” bucket list must! “and this sleepy little town ( just over an hour and a half from Houston) comes to life in the spring and fall.

Mornings would start with coffee, friends, and comfy shoes before hitting the fields and tents digging for one-of-a kind treasures. meeting some of the most creative and interesting people you will ever come across and of course stopping by Granny McCormick’s Yard to see Boho Glam.

Lunch? Local food trucks for barbecue or sandwiches, or homemade burgers and ice tea at The Dugout.
Evenings are for porch sitting, live music and sunsets over the Texas countryside.
And if the timing’s right, we’d dress up in our vintage best for The Junk Gypsy Prom at Zapp Hall and a Royers Cafe dinner!

Antiques Week here is truly a trip of a lifetime. .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If I had to dedicate my shoutout to anyone, it would first be my sweet mama. She was an incredible seamstress, and long before I ever called myself an artist, I was watching her create. I didn’t realize it then, but I was learning patience, craftsmanship, and the beauty of making something with your own hands. That foundation lives in everything I design today.

I also give extreme thanks to God for my faith. I would not be where I am without prayer, grace, and the strength that comes from trusting God’s timing.

And finally, to my family and friends for their love, help, support and being by my side.
And to the small business community — the fellow vendors, customers, and supporters who show up to markets, who encourage, who believe in handmade and one-of-a-kind. Boho Glam exists because people value heart over mass production. That support means everything.

None of us build anything alone. My story is stitched together by love, mentorship, faith, and the quiet encouragement of people who believed in me long before I saw the full picture myself.
